The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) concluded its first e-auction of 2026 by selling 37 of 42 properties, generating Rs 3,136.97 crore—over 55% above the combined reserve price of Rs 2,018.84 crore. The auction included residential, industrial, mixed land use, and institutional plots across key sectors. Notably, a 145-sq yd residential plot in Sector 68 sold for Rs 4 crore, nearly four times its reserve price. The state government's 22% reduction in reserve prices and an extended bidding period contributed to heightened investor interest and robust market response.
