U.K. house prices saw an unexpected 0.4% decrease in December, according to Nationwide Building Society. This marks the weakest annual growth since April 2024, with prices ending the year only 0.6% higher than the previous year. Economists had predicted a slight monthly increase, forecasting a 1.2% annual rise.
