The Indian government has extended export incentives such as Duty Drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL to goods shipped via the postal route, effective January 15, 2026. This reform, implemented by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), treats postal e-commerce exports on par with regular cargo, enabling faster clearances and access to key benefits. The move aims to boost cross-border e-commerce and enhance competitiveness for MSMEs, especially those in smaller towns and remote areas relying on postal shipments.
