SBI to Introduce Service Charges on Online IMPS Transactions Above Rs 25,000 from February 2026

State Bank of India (SBI) will introduce service charges on online Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) transactions exceeding Rs 25,000 starting February 15, 2026. Previously, online IMPS transfers up to Rs 5 lakh were free. Charges will range from Rs 2 plus GST for transactions above Rs 25,000 up to Rs 1 lakh, increasing with higher amounts. Branch-level IMPS charges remain unchanged. Certain salary package accounts will continue to have IMPS charges waived.
