
Ahead of the WTO's 14th Ministerial Conference in Yaoundé, Cameroon, India has urged developed countries to formalize and strengthen commitments on transferring advanced, environmentally sound technologies to developing and least-developed countries. India highlighted barriers such as export controls on key inputs and strict intellectual property regimes, proposing a draft ministerial declaration to institutionalize technology transfer within the multilateral trading system and share best practices to enhance trade flows.
