Coal India reported a 4.6% year-on-year increase in production for December, reaching 75.7 million tonnes. However, coal offtake for the month decreased by 5.2% to 64.9 million tonnes. For the April-December period of FY26, cumulative production saw a 2.6% decline to 529.2 MT, with offtake also slipping 2.2% to 544.7 MT compared to the previous fiscal year.
