Nepal's Rasuwagadhi border checkpoint, a vital trade route with China, has reopened after a six-month closure. The shutdown, initiated on July 8, was due to monsoon flood damage that destroyed the Miteri Bridge over the Bhotekoshi River. Operations resumed following the construction of a new Bailey bridge with Chinese assistance, allowing vehicles to cross again. The closure resulted in significant import revenue losses for Nepal.
