Shankh Airlines, led by Chairman Shravan Kumar Vishwakarma, is set to launch flight operations in the first half of January with an initial fleet of three Airbus aircraft. The airline aims to make air travel accessible to middle-class and first-time flyers, connecting Lucknow with Delhi, Mumbai, and other metro cities, as well as destinations within Uttar Pradesh. Vishwakarma, who previously drove tempos and ran small businesses, stated the airline's core objective is to break the perception of flying as a luxury. International operations are planned for 2028-2029.
