
South Central Railway (SCR) has added 199 km of track this year, including new, double, and third lines. The railway also eliminated 68 manned level crossings and constructed numerous road over/underbridges. SCR reported a gross revenue of ₹19,314 crore, an increase from last year, with passenger and freight revenues both rising. Significant electrification projects were completed, and automatic block signalling systems were commissioned to enhance line capacity. Additionally, bypass lines and Gati Shakti cargo terminals were opened to improve operations and facilitate freight movement.
