SpiceJet is involved in a legal dispute with former promoter Kalanithi Maran and KAL Airways over a share transfer agreement. The Supreme Court declined SpiceJet's plea to challenge a Delhi High Court order requiring a Rs 144 crore deposit as security pending arbitration. SpiceJet has paid Rs 730 crore, including principal and interest, and remains confident of a potential Rs 449 crore refund after the legal process concludes.
