PSPCL Detects Power Violations and Recovers Rs 379.86 Crore Amid Disconnections in North Zone

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) conducted inspections across Jalandhar circle, detecting 12 cases of power violations and assessing losses of Rs 6.96 lakh due to theft and irregular electricity use. Concurrently, PSPCL intensified efforts to recover dues, collecting Rs 379.86 crore and disconnecting over 48,000 connections in the North zone, with Jalandhar recording the highest disconnections. Despite these measures, outstanding dues of Rs 419.47 crore remain in the region.
