
The Indian government has extended the minimum export price (MEP) of USD 1,400 per metric ton for natural honey until March 31, 2026. This measure, first introduced in March 2024, prohibits exports below this set price. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued the notification. Major export markets include the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. India exported honey worth USD 177.52 million in 2023-24.
