Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), a Vedanta group firm, reported a four percent increase in mined metal output to 2,76,000 tonnes for the third quarter, driven by higher ore production. Saleable metal output also rose by four percent, with refined zinc at 2,21,000 tonnes and refined lead at 49,000 tonnes. However, saleable silver production saw a marginal one percent decline to 158 metric tonnes. Wind power generation increased by five percent to 50 million units during the same period.
