India and Canada Advance CEPA Discussions Ahead of Canadian PM's India Visit

India's Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Canada's Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu held a virtual meeting to advance discussions on the India-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The talks aim to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation through regular delegation-level engagements. This meeting precedes Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's visit to India, where both countries plan to elevate partnerships in trade, technology, and other sectors. CEPA negotiations, initiated in 2010, have been relaunched recently to unlock new opportunities.
