India and Uzbekistan Agree to Double Bilateral Trade and Enhance Cooperation by 2027
India and Uzbekistan have agreed to deepen economic cooperation and aim to double bilateral trade within three years, following the 14th Session of their Intergovernmental Commission. Both countries plan to address non-tariff barriers and expand trade in sectors including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, agriculture, engineering goods, electronics, and textiles. India emphasized its capacity to supply affordable medicines and digital cooperation in IT and fintech. Proposals also include customs data exchange and payment infrastructure interlinking to facilitate trade and tourism.
