Net Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in December 2025 rose 2.2% year-on-year to ₹1.45 trillion, excluding compensation cess. This marks the lowest net receipts since December 2024. Sequentially, December collections were 4.3% lower than November. Gross GST revenues, before refunds, increased 6.1% to nearly ₹1.75 trillion, largely driven by a 19.7% rise in revenues from imports. Domestic transaction revenues saw a modest 1.2% growth. Net GST compensation cess receipts dropped significantly by 64.7%.
