
India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper train, designed for overnight travel, is set to launch soon on the Guwahati-Howrah route. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has inspected the 16-coach train, which features first, second, and third AC sleeper classes, a capacity of 823 passengers, and speeds up to 180 kmph. The train is equipped with advanced safety features like the Kavach system, CCTV cameras, and disinfectant technology. Fares are set to be reasonable, with region-specific culinary offerings planned for passengers.
