Sony has announced a strategic partnership with China's TCL Electronics to form a joint venture that will take over Sony's global home entertainment business, including the Bravia TV brand. TCL will hold a 51% majority stake, while Sony retains 49%. The new company, expected to begin operations in April 2027 pending approvals, will handle product development, manufacturing, sales, and logistics. Future TVs will continue to carry Sony and Bravia branding, combining Sony's technology and brand value with TCL's manufacturing scale and cost efficiency.
