IRS Launches Centralized Online Portal to Report Tax Fraud and Scams

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has launched a centralized online portal to simplify reporting of tax fraud, scams, identity theft, and other illegal activities. This new system consolidates multiple reporting channels into one user-friendly platform, aiming to improve data utilization, reduce processing delays, and enhance enforcement efforts. IRS CEO Frank J. Bisignano emphasized that the portal addresses previous challenges and encourages taxpayers to confidentially report suspected wrongdoing without penalties for good-faith submissions.
