JSW Motors is preparing to launch its first India-specific SUV based on China's Jetour T2, targeting a Diwali 2026 debut. The plug-in hybrid SUV will be assembled at JSW's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar plant in Maharashtra and is expected to feature a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 26.7kWh battery, offering an electric range of about 139 km. The model will carry a JSW badge with design tweaks and include premium features like a panoramic sunroof, advanced infotainment, and Level 2 ADAS. JSW is building its dealer network ahead of launch, aiming for significant localization amid regulatory considerations.
