The Indian government plans to significantly increase funding for the MSME Champions Scheme to around ₹10,000 crore over five years, aiming to enhance cleaner manufacturing, exports, and global competitiveness among MSMEs. Concurrently, a digital upgrade pilot using sensors, AI, and data analytics will be launched in Gujarat under the World Bank-backed RAMP scheme to improve productivity, energy efficiency, and export compliance for 750 manufacturing units. These initiatives reflect efforts to modernize MSMEs and reduce export rejections through technology adoption and increased financial support.
