CAQM Panel Proposes EV-Only Vehicle Registration in Delhi-NCR by 2030 Amid Industry Concerns

The panel plans annual EV sales mandates for carmakers starting next year, with penalties for non-compliance. However, gas distributors and automakers advocate for a technology-neutral approach, suggesting continued use of CNG for medium and heavy vehicles and stricter emission controls on two-wheelers, citing infrastructure and cost concerns.
