
India aims to significantly boost its railway exports, targeting Rs 30,000 crore by 2030, a fourfold increase from the current Rs 7,000 crore. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted India's growing expertise in propulsion and bogie technology, essential for global demand. The first Vande Bharat sleeper train is set to launch by January 18, with plans for eight more within six months and twelve by the end of 2026. These sleeper trains will feature 16 coaches, including various AC tiers, accommodating approximately 823 passengers.
