VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), a subsidiary of Eicher Motors, has received a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand of Rs 192.36 crore, including a penalty. The demand pertains to a delay in reporting credit notes for the financial year 2017-18. VECV received a Show Cause Notice in July, and a subsequent demand order on December 29, 2025, confirmed a demand of Rs 96.18 crore. The company stated the order has no merits and plans to file an appeal, asserting no impact on its financial or operational activities.
