Daikin India Plans to Expand Room AC Manufacturing Capacity to 40 Lakh Units by 2030

Daikin India plans to increase its annual room air conditioner manufacturing capacity from 30 lakh to 40 lakh units by 2030. The company will establish a new plant in Sri City SEZ, Andhra Pradesh, expected to be operational within two years. Currently, Daikin operates three factories in Sri City and Neemrana, Rajasthan. The Indian room AC market is estimated at 1.40 crore units annually, with only 10% of the population using room ACs. Daikin also introduced AI-enabled high-efficiency models for commercial and residential use.
