Ola Electric Secures BIS Certification for Ola Shakti Residential Battery System

Ola Electric has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification and license for its Ola Shakti residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) featuring a 6kW 9.1kWh battery pack powered by the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell. The system underwent extensive electrical and mechanical safety tests, including protection against short circuits, fire, and electric shock, meeting BIS standards. Ola Electric plans to begin deliveries of the 9.1kWh variant by January 2026, marking a step toward clean, decentralized energy storage in India.
