Volkswagen is celebrating 50 years of its Golf GTI model, which began as a limited production experiment in 1976 and has since sold over 2.5 million units. To mark the anniversary, the company has launched the most powerful Golf GTI yet, the Edition 50, with 320 hp, set for European deliveries in 2026. Volkswagen also plans to introduce an all-electric ID. Polo GTI, aiming to retain GTI's performance and practicality in an electric format.
