CCI Approves Alpha Wave Global's Stake Acquisition in Bharti Airtel's Nxtra Data
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved US-based Alpha Wave Global's acquisition of a stake in Nxtra Data, Bharti Airtel's data centre and cloud services subsidiary. Alpha Wave Ventures II, LP will invest USD 435 million as part of a USD 1 billion funding round alongside Carlyle, Anchorage Capital, and Airtel, which will retain control. Nxtra, valued at about USD 3.1 billion post-deal, plans to use the investment to expand AI-ready data centres across India.
