
India's non-life insurance industry collected Rs 3.07 lakh crore in premiums in FY25, with health insurance comprising over 41% of this total. The health segment saw 9.19% growth, reaching Rs 1.18 lakh crore in premiums. General and health insurers covered 58 crore lives across 2.65 crore policies, with a significant portion under government schemes and group business. The motor insurance segment also grew, contributing Rs 99,093 crore.
