Following coordinated US and Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory actions, airspace closures across Iran and parts of West Asia have disrupted international flight operations. Indian airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air, have suspended or cancelled hundreds of flights, with 444 cancellations expected on March 1 alone. Major Indian airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad are on operational alert, managing stranded passengers and flight diversions. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA are coordinating closely with airlines to ensure safety and assist affected travelers. India has also issued advisories for foreign nationals stranded due to travel disruptions, offering visa extensions and support amid ongoing uncertainties.
