Karnataka Plans Defence Electronics Parks and Sector Growth Initiatives, Minister Says

Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil, chaired meetings with industry leaders across aerospace, defence, machine tools, auto EV, and green energy sectors to discuss growth strategies and government support. Plans include establishing a 200-acre Defence Electronics Park and a 100-acre Avionics and Sensor Park, pending the Special Investment Region's operationalization. The state seeks Central Government approval for Defence Corridors in key regions and is considering policies for fly-taxi services inspired by projects in Japan involving Bengaluru-based Sasmos. Testing centres and Common Facility Centres will be developed to support sector expansion.
