Praveen Kumar, Managing Director of DFCCIL, conducted the first-ever rail car inspection on the newly constructed JNPT-Vaitarna section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. This 102 km segment is crucial for enhancing freight connectivity to JNPT Port. While 30 km is already electrified with successful electric locomotive trials, the remaining electrification and signalling work is nearing completion. The inspection marks a significant step towards commissioning this vital infrastructure.
