
The Indian government has approved over Rs 83,500 crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) to support more than 1.65 lakh post-harvest infrastructure projects, mobilizing investments exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore including private contributions. The fund, operational since 2020 and set to disburse Rs 2 lakh crore by 2032, aims to improve storage, logistics, and processing facilities to reduce post-harvest losses and enhance farmers' market access and value realization.
