Madhya Pradesh achieved a new record by meeting an electricity demand of 19,849 megawatts on December 31, 2025. State energy minister Pradyumn Singh Tomar credited the achievement to the dedication of power sector personnel, ensuring uninterrupted supply through the state's infrastructure. The demand was distributed across various regions, with power sourced from thermal, hydro, renewable, and external sources like NTPC.
