Jaswinder Singh, a teacher from Sirsa, has been recognized for his organic mushroom cultivation. He received an award at the Kisan Diwas-2025 event in Hisar for achieving the top position in the district for organic mushroom production. Singh, who started his venture during the COVID-19 lockdown using YouTube tutorials, highlighted the profitability of mushroom farming, with potential profits of 50-60% per crop. His organic mushrooms are sold directly from his farm at a premium price.
