
The upcoming first phase of Mumbai Metro Line 9, connecting Mira Bhayandar to the existing network, is expected to increase daily ridership on Metro Lines 2A and 7 by 50,000 to 100,000 passengers. Four stations on Line 9 are ready, with trial runs completed and safety approvals pending, though no inauguration date is set. This extension aims to ease congestion near Dahisar toll naka and will be inaugurated alongside four stations of Metro Line 2B, enhancing connectivity in Mumbai's western suburbs.
