Government Details EPFO 3.0 Reforms and Health Insurance Premium Factors in Lok Sabha

During the March 16 Lok Sabha session, the government outlined key reforms under EPFO 3.0 aimed at simplifying provident fund services and accelerating claim settlements, including raising the auto-claim limit from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and enabling faster pension payments via the Centralised Pension Payment System. The minimum Employees' Pension Scheme pension remains Rs 1,000 per month. Additionally, factors contributing to rising health insurance premiums and efforts to tighten asset valuation and expedite loan recoveries were discussed.
