
An integrated green steel plant and a coal gasification project with an estimated investment of Rs 17,000 crore will be established in Bhadravati, Chandrapur district, Maharashtra. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy highlighted that these projects aim to produce high-value items like ammonia nitrate, green steel, and hydrogen, reducing imports. The initiatives are part of India's self-reliance vision and expected to create over 10,000 jobs, boosting Vidarbha's economy. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized sustainable, pollution-free resource utilization and noted benefits for local tourism.
