Geopolitical issues and visa complications have prevented Bangladeshi exhibitors from participating in a recent trade fair in Kolkata. While a dozen potential exhibitors showed interest, the current environment led to their withdrawal. The fair adapted by shifting to a consumer-centric approach, focusing on local artisans and MSMEs, with a special emphasis on handloom and handicrafts. The event also included industry and MSME conclaves, with discussions on opportunities under the UK-India Free Trade Agreement.
