L&T to Build India's Largest 3,000 MW Pumped Storage Project in Maharashtra

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant order, valued between Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 crore, to construct India's largest 3,000 MW pumped storage project, Saidongar-1, in Raigad, Maharashtra. Awarded by Torrent Energy Storage Solutions, the project involves designing and executing all civil and hydro-mechanical works. This initiative aims to enhance grid reliability, support peak power demand, and bolster India's clean energy and decarbonisation goals by integrating renewable energy sources.
