Vedanta Ltd plans to raise up to Rs 3,000 crore through a private placement of unsecured, rated, listed, and redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) with maturities of two to three years, targeting completion by mid-March. This marks the company's second bond issue in the current fiscal year, following a Rs 5,000 crore raise last June. The fundraise aims to strengthen Vedanta's capital structure and optimize borrowing costs amid its ongoing restructuring and debt refinancing efforts. The NCDs will be listed on the BSE, and the company has engaged with investors including mutual funds.
