
India's telecom sector showed robust growth in the December 2025 quarter, with cumulative gross revenue surpassing Rs 1.02 lakh crore, up from Rs 96,390 crore a year earlier. Adjusted gross revenue (AGR) rose 8.13% year-on-year to Rs 84,270 crore, led by major players like Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea. Internet subscribers crossed 1.02 billion, and total telephone connections reached 1.3 billion, reflecting increased tele-density and demand for broadband services. State-run BSNL and MTNL reported declines in AGR despite BSNL turning profitable.
