Mercedes-Benz India Starts Local Production of Maybach GLS, Launches Special Editions

Mercedes-Benz India has begun local production of the ultra-luxury Maybach GLS SUV at its Pune facility, making India the first market outside the US to manufacture this model. This move has led to a significant price reduction to Rs 2.75 crore from Rs 3.17 crore. Alongside, Mercedes-Benz launched special editions of the Maybach GLS and EQS SUV, and plans to introduce 12 new models in 2026, focusing on top-end luxury and electric vehicles amid a slight sales decline but record revenue growth.
