The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has returned developed commercial plots to farmers in Pithampur whose land was acquired under the Land Pooling Act. Landowners receive compensation twice the Collector's guideline rate, with 20% in cash and 80% in developed commercial and residential plots. MPIDC allotted 47 commercial plots worth Rs. 47 crore to 6 landowners on Tuesday, with remaining compensation to be allotted as residential plots. The process aims for rapid development of the industrial township.
