Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will close its third runway (29L/11R) from February 26 to May 26, 2026, for major rehabilitation including resurfacing, a new rapid exit taxiway, and an upgraded Instrument Landing System. The closure, coinciding with the peak summer travel season, may affect some long-haul flight operations, but airport authorities expect minimal disruption. Over 15 taxiways will also be unavailable, with special procedures and supervision in place to manage air traffic safely during this period.
