Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will close its third runway (29L/11R) from February 25 to May 25, 2026, for major rehabilitation including resurfacing, a new taxiway, and instrument landing system installation. The closure, covering peak summer travel, may be extended if needed. While over 15 taxiways will also be unavailable, officials expect minimal impact on flight operations. Special procedures and reserved runways for VVIP and designated flights will support air traffic management during this period.
