IHCL to Acquire Majority Stake in Brij Hospitality to Expand Boutique Hotel Portfolio

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), backed by Tata Group, is acquiring a 51% stake in Brij Hospitality for up to Rs 225 crore, aiming to expand its presence in the boutique luxury hotel segment. The deal includes ownership of the Brij brand, which operates 22 hotels with 11 more in development across locations like Jaipur, Varanasi, and Dharamshala. IHCL plans to complete the acquisition by March 2026, maintaining Brij's management team to support growth and integrating the portfolio with its existing brands.
