
The Aluminium Association of India (AAI) has urged the government to exempt aluminium products from the recent 50% cut in RoDTEP rates to help exporters remain competitive internationally. The association requested that RoDTEP rates for 2026-27 be set based on actual taxes borne by exporters, ensuring fair compensation. India's aluminium exports, valued at around USD 7 billion, face challenges from rising global trade barriers and reduced export incentives following the government's rate reduction.
