Air India Cancels 50 International Flights Amid Middle East Tensions and Airspace Closures

Air India has cancelled 50 international flights scheduled for March 1, 2026, due to escalating tensions and airspace closures in the Middle East following a US-Israeli military operation against Iran. The cancellations affect routes to major cities in Europe, North America, and Canada, including London, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, and Toronto. Flights to and from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar remain suspended until March 2. Air India is rerouting other flights via alternative airspaces, resulting in longer flying times and technical stops, while assisting affected passengers with rebooking and refunds.
