Finance Minister to Present Union Budget 2026 with Focus on MSMEs and Digital Economy

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the Union Budget 2026-27 on February 1, marking her ninth consecutive budget presentation. Industry leaders and experts expect increased public spending and support for key sectors including MSMEs, digital economy, AI, defence, infrastructure, and renewable energy. Emphasis is placed on boosting technology adoption and startup growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to sustain economic growth and generate employment. The Budget session begins January 28 and includes the Economic Survey presentation.
